GGJ Bristol: We Hope You Like Jammin’ Too

October 8th, 2009 by Will Luton

ggjOne of the things that is really important to us here at Mobile Pie, our most prized value, perhaps the distilled essence of what we believe in is haircuts. However, if we had to pick a second value it would probably be creative vision.

We like to nurture the green shoots of talent with the kindness and love we would give a favoured child and so, with altruism in our hearts, we have agreed, in partnerships with UWE academics and our friends at the Pervasive Media Studio, to host a Global Games Jam location, right here, in the fast-beating heart of Bristol!

As well as all of us being on hand to give advice during the jam, we’ll also be bringing on board a range of industry experts from across the South West, including academics and developers, so it will be a fantastic opportunity for upcoming and student artists, programmers and designers to get themselves noticed.

The Jam will take place between 29th and 31st January 2010. You can find out more at the official site here and more about the location here.

If you want to enter or would like to help out on the event then please don’t hesitate to contact me through the GGJ site.

We look forward to seeing you there!

For the benefit of other readers, I had to click through about six pages before it told me what type of games it was talking about.

    It’s video games.
